I don't go to interviews with my "characters". I meet them and talk to them. We exchange our
experience. What I like the most is when they stop noticing me and the microphone, when they begin to treat me like an old friend or even an ordinary element of their world, like a chair or table. I look for meaning and universality not in great global events, important topics but in the life of a human being. A drop reflects the ocean. Human being gives soul and body to all disasters, wars, political decisions and social issues. And what is important to me is not to listen but to hear. There is no understanding without hearing.
I see my role as radio feature maker more like a writer or even a musician than a journalist. I
play words, silence, music, sound effects; to build sound scenes, create a story and a theatre of
imagination. My role is to build bridges between story and listeners. I have been telling the stories about the world for over twenty years and it is still a fascinating adventure, passion and mission to me. I keep asking questions and I am still astonished at seeing there are no simple answers. I keep wondering about the world and the world keeps surprising me.
Master of history of art, I have been working in Documentary Department of Polish Radio Lublin
since 1996. Since 2024 I have been Head of Documentary Department of Polish Radio Lublin. Since 2023 I have been contenct coordinator o Ake Blomstrom Prix Europa Masterclass and representant of Poland in Audio Strorytelling Festival Project Group EBU
