When the Wind Blows

When the Wind Blows

Iva Tkalec, Anna Savchenko
(Belgium, Croatia)

Through personal stories of people working in the wind industry, the audience is getting to know all about the energy and climate crisis Europe is facing and what is needed to get over it. In France, Spain, and Poland, nine individuals illuminate Europe’s struggle with energy shortages and climate imperatives. With the wind industry rapidly expanding, the continent faces a pressing need for skilled workers – 170,000 positions over seven years. Yet, challenges loom: from skill shortages to retraining workers from declining sectors like coal mining. As Europe navigates the green transition, diversity and inclusivity in the workforce emerge as crucial components for a just and sustainable future.
