The Black Light Theatre of Jiri Srnec

The Black Light Theatre is not a principle; it is only a means of expressing the realization that on stage black is invisible against a black backdrop. The story of the Black Light Theatre is at the same time the life story of its founder and creator, Jiří Srnec. This Czech theatre artist, scenographer, director, visual artist, composer and theatre manager is an extraordinary figure.
