We have a new association: DOK Croatia!

Somewhere in a footnote it will be written that Croatian documentary filmmakers met on April 2nd and decided to launch their own guild association during the 21st ZagrebDox, the central Croatian film festival and documentary event of the last twenty years.
The constituent session of the Croatian Documentary Filmmakers Association DOK Croatia, held during ZagrebDox, was attended by numerous film professionals - directors, producers, cinematographers, editors... Their primary focus is on auteur documentary film.
The opening speech was given by Nenad Puhovski, founder and artistic director of the festival. The gathered filmmakers elected a board of directors consisting of the following members: Tibor Keser (president), Tiha K. Gudac, Dana Budisavljević, Ivan Ramljak and Damir Markovina (vice president).
The main task of the DOK Croatia association will be to create a platform for networking and communication of Croatian documentaries, raise the professional level of production, distribution and promotion of Croatian documentary film, as well as participate in shaping and improving professional standards of documentary film production in Croatia.
The founders believe that DOK Croatia will significantly contribute to the quality of Croatian documentary films, but also of all audiovisual works of national cinematography.
