Mohammadreza Farzad

Mohammadreza Farzad participated in the Berlinale Forum Expanded section with his films three times (Into Thin Air, Blames and Flames, Subtotals). He was selected and screened at more than seventy prestigious film festivals and events across the world (Berlinale, IDFA, CPH:DOX, Sheffield, Oberhausen, Clermont Ferrand, Melbourne, Dokufest, Thessaloniki, Walker Art Centre). Farzad acted as Jury member at several film festivals (CPH:DOX, Jihlava, Plzen, Dokubaku, Melgaco, Cinema-Veite) and won numerous awards (Jury Special Mention at Lab & Tenk prize for the best documentary section of Clermont-Ferrand, Golden Apricot Stone at GAIF). He was a curator of Docutheque Nonfiction Films screenings and has an associate degree in Architecture (Kashan University of Arts, Iran) and BA & MA degrees in Dramatic Literature (Soureh and Tehran University of Arts, Iran).

Pegah Ahangarani

Born in Iran in 1984 and currently based in London, Pegah Ahangarani is a prominent Iranian filmmaker and actress with a career spanning over three decades. Following her breakthrough performance in The Girl in the Sneakers (1999) and a filmography of over 40 feature films, Ahangarani expanded her practice into documentary filmmaking alongside her acting. Her directorial work includes the essay documentaries I Am Trying to Remember (2021) and My Father (2023), as well as Child Soldier (2024) and Taraneh (2025). Her films have received critical acclaim and garnered prestigious awards at international festivals including IDFA and Busan.
