Đuro Gavran

Đuro Gavran was born in 1982 in Bjelovar. He holds a master's degree in Documentary Film from the Film and TV Directing Department of the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Arts, and in Design from the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Graphic Arts. He is the author of about ten documentaries and two experimental films. His film Verdict (2012) premiered at Rotterdam Film Festival, after which it screened at some thirty national and world festivals, winning a number of awards, including a Special Mention at ZagrebDox. His film 4.7 won the Big Stamp in the ZagrebDox Regional Competition, while Inside Offside: Eat Sleep Eat Sleepwas screened at 2017 ZagrebDox. With One of us (2019) Gavran participated at 2018 ZagrebDox Pro and earned the HBO Europe Award. The film was screened in Regional Competition at 2020 ZagrebDox and received a special mention. He is the founder of production company Pipser.

Radu Ciorniciuc

Radu Ciorniciuc is a Romanian film director, cinematographer, and investigative journalist. In 2012 he co-founded the first independent media organization in Romania – Casa Jurnalistului, a community of reporters specialized in in-depth, long-form, and multimedia reporting. Since then, Radu has been working as a long-form writer and undercover investigative reporter for most major international newspapers and televisions. His researches are focused on human rights, animal welfare, and environmental issues across the globe. His debut feature documentary film Acasa, My Home (2020) about a family that lived for two decades in the wilderness, in perfect harmony with nature, until they are chased out and forced to adapt to life in the big city premiered at Sundance 2020 where it won the special jury award for Best Cinematography. The film had an exceptional festival run, winning more than 30 other international awards, including Big Stamp for best documentary in Regional Competition of 2020 ZagrebDox and has been selected for a nomination at the European Film Awards. Currently, Radu is working on two more feature documentaries.

Jasmin Basic

Jasmin Basic got her Master of Arts in Cinema and English. She collaborated with several festivals in Switzerland and abroad: Visions du Réel Nyon, Cinema Tous Ecrans, Split International Film Festival, Ambulante Mexico, NIFFF Neuchâtel, Animafest Zagreb, International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights Geneva, Global Migration Film Festival, Solothurn Film Festival, International Animation Festival Fantoche and the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur. She has curated retrospectives on directors and authors Michael Mann, Charles Burnett, David Cronenberg, Michael Snow, Harun Farocki, Atom Egoyan and on the Yugoslav Black Wave, and has developed programmes and events focused on international TV series. She has also collaborated with the Geneva University of Arts & Design (HEAD), the Cinemathèque of Tangier (Morocco), the Centre for the Image La Virreina in Barcelona, the Croatian Audiovisual Center, the French Cinémathèque, the Centre Pompidou, the Cahiers du Cinéma and the Forum des Images in Paris. Currently she is also in charge of the Master Film Studies program of the HEAD/Geneva University of Arts & Design and the ECAL/Ecole cantonale d'art Lausanne. She was an appointed expert for the Swiss Federal Office of Culture for TV drama and series and a board member of the Geneva Film Commission. Co-founder and board member of Pro Short, the Swiss association for short films. In 2017, she joined the production companies La Bête in Paris and Alva Film in Geneva as associate producer.
