Presentation / Sony presents: VENICE camera

DoP and Sony lecturer Alex Sterian will hold a lecture and a workshop, as part of which we will be introduced to VENICE – a cinema camera created by and for the cinematographer.

Following up on its successful collaboration with ZagrebDox, Sony in partnership with AVC presents the latest state-of-the-art equipment and outstanding results achieved with Sony’s technology in real conditions.

This year at ZagrebDox Pro Sony will proudly present its next generation motion picture camera system with forward thinking full frame sensor, phenomenal colour science and user-friendly operation. DoP and Sony lecturer Alex Sterian will hold a lecture and a workshop, as part of which we will be introduced to VENICE – a cinema camera created by and for the cinematographer. The presentation is intended for everyone, with a particular focus on film professionals.

VENICE is Sony’s top-of-the line CineAlta full frame 36x24mm 6K digital cinema system. The camera features a modular design, interchangeable sensor, anamorphic capabilities, world first 8-step ND filter and a new colour management system. VENICE is equipped with a newly developed 36x24mm full-frame image sensor and can capture images up to a maximum resolution of 6048 x 4032. It is designed specifically for the demands and performance of high end cinematography, meeting the needs of the film industry in pushing the boundaries of large format image capture with exceptional picture quality. With VENICE, Sony gives users the option to customize their camera by enabling only the features they need and according to their individual production requirements. Licenses will be available to expand the camera’s capa- bilities with new features including 4K anamorphic and full-frame.
