In Praise of Nothing is a satirical documentary parable in which Nothing, tired of being misunderstood, runs away from home to come and talk to us, for the first and last time. The documentary footage of Nothing was shot by dozens of directors of photography at locations in 70 countries, the music was composed by Pascal Comelade and The Tiger Lillies, while, addressing us in verse, is Iggy Pop as the voice of Nothing.
Boris Mitić was born in 1977 in Leskovac, Serbia and currently lives in Zagreb. He worked for some of the most prominent media for several years before deciding to pursue documentary filmmaking. His four documentaries (In Praise of Nothing, Goodbye, How are you?, Unmik Titanik, and Pretty Dyana) have screened at over 200 festivals, received 25 awards and aired at 20 international TV stations. He teaches ‘real-politics’ of documentary film in Europe, America, Asia and online, and writes satirical columns for magazines Playboy and DOX.
