Manuela Buono

Founder/Owner, Slingshot Films

Manuela Buono was born and live in Trieste, Italy. In 2013 she founded production and distribution company Slinghsot Films, specialized in creative documentaries and art-house fiction films with a focus on debuts. She has been involved in film and tv production, and festivals organization for more than 10 years. She was member of the selection committee of Festival dei Popoli, Firenze (2013-15), and she is consultant for several international film markets. Mega Plus 2010 (Media Business School Master in European Audiovisual Management) graduated, she received a Nipkow fellowship in 2011 and was selected for Berlinale Talent in 2014.

Anton Calleja

Project Manager and Legal Affairs, EURIMAGES

Since August 2006, Anton Calleja has been working as a Project Manager at Eurimages. At Eurimages, Anton takes care of feature films and feature-length documentaries.  He is also in charge of legal affairs. Before that, Anton practiced as a lawyer in Malta and also worked in London and Luxembourg. As a lawyer, he advised and represented producers and other film industry players. Anton graduated Doctor of Law with a thesis on fiscal and financial incentives for the film industry. He also pursued studies in Film Production in Rome (EMAM) and later completed the EAVE Producers training course.

Mladen Ćapin

Screenwriter and director, editor with Documentary Department, HRT (Croatian Radiotelevision)

Mladen Ćapin was born in Karlovac. He holds a degree in history and philosophy. Since 2000 he has been working as a screenwriter and director with the Documentary Department, Croatian Radiotelevision. He has made around 40 documentary programmes and films produced by HRT. His focus is on social and psychological stories and portrayals of ordinary people, their professions, passions and destinies.

Lejla Dedić

Born in Konjic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1972. Lejla Dedić lived, studied and worked in London for 20 years. In 1997 she graduated in Media and Society at South Bank University in London. She has over 20 years of experience working in the media sector: production, post-production and broadcasting. She worked in BBC World Service Trust/Media Action that uses media and communications to help reduce poverty and promote human rights in developing countries. Since 2011, Lejla has been given a role of Producer at Al Jazeera Balkans.

Aleksandra Derewienko

Aleksandra Derewienko holds a Master’s degree in psychology from Jagiellonian University in Krakow. She also completed postgraduate studies in TV and Film Organization at the National Film School in Lodz and the MEGA Plus course in Spain. In 2016, after working as a sales manager at Taskovski Films for four years, she joined CAT&Docs in sales and acquisition. She has participated in many festivals and markets, and was a member of the pitching panels at: Baltic Sea Docs, Visions du Reel,Krakow Film Festival, Doc Lisboa or ZagrebDox among others.

Jadranka Hrga acts as the Head of Department of Film Production and complementary activities at Croatian Audiovisual Centre since 2008. The Department of Film Production and complementary activities processes applications received through public calls (film production support, development, international co-production support and  support of cinema-related activities), analyses the state of affairs in the area of film and new media arts and monitors the activities of festivals, professional associations and film institutions.

Boban Jevtić

Boban Јevtić graduated in dramaturgy from the Faculty of Drama Arts in Belgrade and completed a course in Management in Culture in 2002. He was the programmer for the BELEF theatre festival 2007 and is a regular theatre critic at the NIN weekly. He has received awards for theatre criticism at the 58th Sterijino pozorje, for his critical text Empty Recitation. He was the film editor of Dom Omladine in Belgrade from 2005 to 2015. He is the vice-president of the Screenwriters Association of Serbia and the director of Film Center Serbia since 2015.

Namik Kabil, a Bosnian writer/director, has for the last seven years been working as a documentary program commissioning editor at Federal Television in Sarajevo. He lived in the US where he studied film production. He wrote and directed feature films, directed several award-winning documentaries and wrote two novels.

Hanka Kastelicová

Hanka Kastelicová is the Executive Producer of Documentaries for HBO Europe. Based at the Prague office, she works closely with HBO Europe’s production centres in Warsaw, Budapest and Bucharest, and is responsible for the development and production of HBO Europe’s documentary films. She earned a Master of Arts degree from the Faculty of Film and TV Documentary Department at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She continued her professional career in Slovenia, where she worked for more than 25 years as a documentary director and producer, and later as a Commissioning Editor and Head of Development of Documentary Programming. As an experienced and dedicated documentary filmmaker, she has been lecturing on documentary filmmaking and served as a moderator and participant on numerous industry panels and other documentary events.

Morana Komljenović

Morana Komljenović works at Taskovski films as AcquisitionsandDevelopment Manager and Producer. She previously worked as the leading creative producer and CEO with Fade In (Croatia) for six years. In twenty years of professional filmmaking, production and distribution she produced films presented at worldwide film festivals. She directed several experimental and documentary films. Her debut film Naked Soul was screened at the Sundance Film Festival in 2001 as part of the Generation Y program. She is a member of the Croatian Producers’ Association and Croatian Filmmakers Association. She works in London and Zagreb.

Vanja Kranjac is a longtime and prominent movie and TV professional.She has been engaged on numerous documentary and feature projects and acted as a jury member of the Kosice film festival and for selection of the projects to be financed by the Movie Center Serbia. She also participated as a Pitching Election Editor in the Zagreb Dox, then the Jihlava international film festival and Free Zone film festival. She was among the founders of B92 INFO, the very first 24 hour news channel in the region and Oradio, the youth WEB radio on RTV Vojvodina. Vanja Kranjac has been a Director of TV production since 2004 - until 2011 on the national RTV B92, and since then on the Public Broadcasting Service of Vojvodina - RTV Vojvodina.

Andraž Pöschl

Andraž Pöschl is the Editor of Documentary Programme, Department of Culture and Arts Programme, TV Slovenia. He began to work for the Slovenian national TV station 20 years ago and spent most of the years working as an author of doc- umentaries. Later he became the editor in charge of Documentary Programme. Between the years 2011 and 2015 he was Editor-in-Chief of Culture and Arts Programme. He is also a member of different commissions and juries both inside and outside TV Slovenia.

Martijn te Pas is the Head of the IDFA Program Department. He is responsible for overseeing all research activities and processing and viewing film festival entries. He also selects short films, music films and co-compiles the IDFA Competition for Mid-Length Documentary. He is also advising on IDFA TV content and he goes to several international film festivals every year - either as juror or as a guest. Martijn also was a documentary advisor of the Dutch Mediafund (2007-2013) which provides grants to encourage the development and production of cultural radio and television programs.

Sari Volanen

Sari Volanen is a Commissioning Editor at YLE. She started her career in television 30 years ago. Currently she produces mainly shorts and documentaries with Finnish independent film makers and producers.  She is in charge of the strand called New Cinema on YLE/Teema. She has participated EAVE –training in 1999, Eurodoc 2006 and Sources2 – Documentary Mentor training 2008, and has a Master's degree in Arts since 2016. She is also a board member of Tampere Film Festival.
