The film centres around the destiny of artistic works turned into waste, but also around the society that has renounced its history and valuable art.

Monuments are witnesses of the people and the time when they were erected. However, destroyed monuments are also witnesses of the people and the time when they were erected. Monuments reveal the history of human beings and the society they live in. From 1945 to 1990, thousands of National Liberation War monuments were built all across former Yugoslavia. Many of those were of high artistic value. This artistic expression was the affirmation of antifascism and a manner of preserving the memory of important people and events from World War II. Since 1990s, half of the monuments in Croatia, about three thousand of them, have been destroyed and devastated. Unfortunately, among them also those of high artistic value. At the location where once they proudly stood, now we have rubble, a memory of the neglected and unwanted cultural and political heritage. The film centres around the destiny of artistic works turned into waste, but also around the society that has renounced its history and valuable art.
