27 000 Times Thank You!

01.03.2016.

In 2016 and its 12th edition, ZagrebDox International Documentary Film Festival had a record-breaking number of visitors!

After a year of preparations and dedication, the entire ZagrebDox team led by the festival director Nenad Puhovski has at least 27 000 reasons to be happy with the results. In 2016 and its 12th edition, ZagrebDox International Documentary Film Festival had a record-breaking number of visitors. In eight festival days and three warm-up days, a total of 27 000 people visited the Cineplexx Kaptol Centre screenings and helped the festival reach new peaks.

A seat extra was sought after at almost every screening, many important international filmmakers attended, led by this year’s guests of honour – the Swedish-Italian director Erik Gandini and the Georgian documentary filmmaker and actress Nino Kirtadzé. Many important matters were discussed at ZagrebDoXXL discussions and panels, 16 Croatian films premiered (including the award-winning regional entry, 4.7 by Đuro Gavran), and in the special events the visitors could get quite a new experience of watching documentaries, such as virtual reality screenings.

We thank all the visitors for their suggestions how to make the festival even better next year.

You can always take a look back at some of the moments in the festival chronicles – here. See you in a year at the 13th ZagrebDox!
