The older we get the smaller our radius of movement, the slower everything we do...

Virtually cut off from the civilized world, they live out the last days of their lives here. Family has no regard for them anymore, except when the occasional relative shows up to deal with a death. In their directorial debut, Cristian Soto and Catalina Vergara observe the residents in their isolation, capturing both their touching helplessness and their strength.


Cristian Soto

Cristian Soto was born in Chile in 1980. He studied cinematography in Duoc UC, standing out for his various works which engaged socially with the issue of aging. His diploma project was called Mist Passenger (2005), with which he won many national prizes. The Last Station is his firrst feature film.


Catalina Vergara

Catalina Vergara was born in Chile in 1981. She studied cinematography in Duoc UC and won various awards with shorts done at the institute. Her diploma project Silent Women (2004) won various prizes at national festivals. She worked on important documentary projects for the Chilean television. She is the producer of To See and To Hear (2013) by Jose Luis Torres Leiva.
