A short poetic documentary dealing with a sense of fear through the experience of diving.

Off the Board is a short poetic documentary dealing with a sense of fear through the experience of diving. Diving is a highly competitive, performative sport that is widely celebrated as a fusion of aqua sports and gymnastics. It requires strength, flexibility and a great deal of self-determination. This documentary represents the physical beauty of diving alongside the innate expressions of fear. The vivid and striking images of the young divers are contrasted against a disembodied voice narrating the individual’s struggle to come to terms with their inner fears.
