'Remains' is a documentary telling the story of three young adult siblings who struggle with memories of being sexually abused by their father during the course of their childhood. Trym, the main character, has spent most of his youth struggling with suicidal thoughts, manic depression, and self inflicted injuries, which have resulted in him being in and out of mental facilities. His younger brother and older sister, also struggle in their own individual ways. The film also discusses the judicial system’s view of sexual abuse and incest, and also tries to understand why the phenomenon is so large of a taboo in society.
