Andrew and Jeremy Get Married

Dan Boyd

The story that Boyd himself calls the craziest love story ever starts on the day when Andrew, a retired driver, met Jeremy, a professor of English, in Bromptons Club, a legendary London gay bar. Despite considerable age difference (Andy was 49 and Jeremy 69) and different social backgrounds, they fell in love and started living together. Before meeting his life partner, Jeremy had problems in dealing with his sexuality, he even got married; his partner had somewhat more turbulent past, which included searching partners in public lavatories, drugs and prison. Five years later, a discrete wedding took place.
